Are you a cheapskate? Don't like wasting money?
There are loads of ways of cutting costs on Valentines Day but you have
to weigh up how much you'll upset your other half if you go too far with
the penny pinching.
Money saving ideas
- Recycle the card from last year, or the year before *For real cheapskates
this will be the same card!
Dust it off! Add a new message to build on last years love!
Don't do this if it was sent to a different person though!
- Do something romantic - that involves making an effort - like breakfast
in bed
Get the kids off to school for her too!
- Do some hopelessly romantic gesture during the day, like packing her
lunchbox with heart shaped food or heart shapes of card with messages
of love on!
- Dust off your favourite CDs, clear the lounge and enjoy a romantic
evening in dancing in each other's arms.
- Give her a special note promising her 10 relaxing lie ins to be taken
when she wants.
- Buy her normal flowers. You get a bigger bunch than roses at this
time of year!
